BT21 is a collaboration project between BTS and Line Friends that launched in 2017. Over the years since its release, the cute characters Tata, Cooky, Shooky, Chimmy, RJ, Koya, Mang and Van (BTS’ original creations) have captured the hearts of millions of BTS fans and non-fans all over the world, hence, the large amount of sales, followings on SNS, and continuous collaboration of BT21 with brands like CGV Cinema, Converse, Dunkin’ Donuts, Homeplus, Makestar, Mediheal, Olive Young, Paris Baguette, Reebok, Royche, and VT Cosmetics among others.
Because of their cuteness and rich backstory (BT21 universe), the original characters made by BTS members give off a youthful, child-friendly vibe, which is truly incredible, as it helps bridge the gap between BTS’ brand name and consumers. Regardless of whether these consumers know BTS or not, it won’t be difficult to really like BT21!
Itaewon’s flagship store largely featured BT21 in its various floors. They sold BT21 merchandise online and also in Line Friends stores such as the one in Itaewon and is continuously doing until now since 2017.

In a recent announcement, Line Friends announced in their official SNS accounts, including twitter, that this store in Itaewon will see its final day on April 5, 2020.
Meanwhile, according to their post, Line Friends said that instead of a store renewal, they will be expanding their operations to a different part of town, so do look forward to more from BT21 in the future!
